Welcome to Littermates Connect. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Littermates Connect website, mobile application, and all related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Littermates Connect, LLC ("Littermates Connect," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service in any way — including by creating an account, browsing the platform, uploading content, or purchasing a subscription — you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Littermates Connect offers three account types, each with distinct features and requirements:
We reserve the right to request verification documents for any account type and to downgrade, suspend, or terminate accounts that misrepresent their type or fail to provide requested verification materials.
Ownership. You retain ownership of all content you post, upload, or otherwise submit to the Service ("User Content"), including photos, text, and videos.
License Grant. By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant Littermates Connect a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. This includes use on our website, social media channels, marketing materials, and advertisements. This license continues even if you delete your content or account, to the extent necessary to fulfill existing uses.
Representations. You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have all necessary rights to submit your User Content; (b) your User Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party; and (c) your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

The Service and all content, features, and functionality made available through it — including but not limited to the Littermates Connect name, logo, breed database, design system, software, and documentation — are owned by Littermates Connect, LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on our proprietary content without express prior written permission from Littermates Connect.
If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed by content on the Service, please contact us at littermates@polsia.app with the subject line "IP Infringement Notice" and provide sufficient detail to allow us to investigate and respond.
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. As of the effective date of these Terms, Pet Parent accounts require a subscription of $1.99/month to post content, comment, and interact on the platform. Breeder and Non-Profit/Rescue accounts are free.
By subscribing to a Paid Subscription, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the applicable subscription rate.
Unless you opt out of auto-renewal, which can be done through your account settings, any Paid Subscription(s) you have signed up for will be automatically extended for successive renewal periods of the same duration as the subscription term originally selected, at the then-current non-promotional rate. To change or resign your Paid Subscription(s) at any time, go to account settings. If you terminate a Paid Subscription, you may use your subscription until the end of your then-current term, and your subscription will not be renewed after your then-current term expires. However, you will not be eligible for a prorated refund of any portion of the subscription fee paid for the then-current subscription period.
IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO CONTINUE TO BE CHARGED ON A RECURRING MONTHLY BASIS, YOU MUST CANCEL THE APPLICABLE PAID SUBSCRIPTION THROUGH YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS OR TERMINATE YOUR ACCOUNT BEFORE THE END OF THE RECURRING TERM. PAID SUBSCRIPTIONS CANNOT BE TERMINATED BEFORE THE END OF THE PERIOD FOR WHICH YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID, AND EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THESE TERMS, WE WILL NOT REFUND ANY FEES THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID.
Price Changes. We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice. Your continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.
Billing Disputes. If you have a billing question or dispute, contact us at littermates@polsia.app within 30 days of the charge.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL LITTERMATES CONNECT, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT ON THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BREEDER LISTINGS, BREED INFORMATION, OR USER-GENERATED CONTENT.
YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. ANY ANIMALS, BREEDERS, OR RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS YOU DISCOVER THROUGH THE SERVICE ARE INDEPENDENT OF LITTERMATES CONNECT. WE DO NOT ENDORSE, GUARANTEE, OR ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY TRANSACTION, ANIMAL, OR RELATIONSHIP THAT ORIGINATES FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.
By You. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Deleting your account will cancel your Paid Subscription effective at the end of your then-current billing period; no refund will be issued for the remaining portion of any paid term.
By Us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
Effect of Termination. Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service immediately ceases. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law — will survive.
Content After Termination. We may retain copies of your User Content as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy. We are not obligated to return your content to you upon termination.
These Terms and any dispute arising from them or your use of the Service will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
Dispute Resolution. Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us in good faith at littermates@polsia.app to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue formal legal action.
Class Action Waiver. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Littermates Connect.
